Giants' Aramis Garcia: Put on disabled list

Garcia (facial fracture) was placed on the DL on Monday and is out indefinitely, Joe Ritzo of the San Jose Giants reports.

Garcia's return date has yet to be determined, but his absence will be felt at High-A San Jose. After 83 at-bats in 24 games, Garcia was hitting .301/.356/.373. While he is recovering, Ty Ross will likely start in his place. Ross has a .283/.400/.370 line after 46 at-bats this season.
