Rodriguez will be added to the 40-man roster to protect him from the upcoming Rule 5 draft. Across 100 games at Low-A Modesto and High-A Everett last year, the 21-year-old slashed .289/.379/.470 with 10 homers, 80 runs, 65 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
