Mariners' Jarred Kelenic: Starting rehab assignment

Kelenic (foot) was sent to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday to begin a rehab assignment.

Kelenic ditched his walking boot a couple weeks ago and is finally ready for game action after missing the last six weeks with a fractured left foot. He shouldn't need too many rehab at-bats before rejoining the red-hot Mariners, setting him up to return sometime in early September.
