Marlins' Jeff Lindgren: Removed from 40-man roster

The Marlins designated Lindgren for assignment Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Sean Nolin, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Jacksonville ahead of Monday's game in Atlanta. Lindgren has made one extended relief appearance with the big club this season, allowing four runs over five innings back on April 3.
