Mets' Adonis Medina: Called up to bigs

The Mets recalled Medina from Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Over his previous 13 appearances in the majors this season spanning 23.1 innings, Medina has struck out 17 while posting a 4.63 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. He's likely to be used mostly in lower-leverage spots out of the bullpen while he's up with the Mets.
