Cano (back) is batting fifth as the designated hitter in Sunday's spring game against the Cardinals.
Cano stopped playing in the Dominican Winter League in November due to discomfort in his lower back, but it appears the issue is behind him early in spring training. The veteran slugger is fresh off the second PED suspension of his career, and he's likely to see much of his time as the designated hitter this year. The 39-year-old could also see some time at second base, though Jeff McNeil is expected to start Opening Day and be the primary option at the keystone.
