Peterson was called up by the Mets on Sunday.
With a career 5.97 ERA in 31.2 big-league innings, Peterson shouldn't be anything more than a low-leverage arm. The Mets need some more of those after playing 18 innings Saturday, so Peterson and Tyler Bashlor are up to replace Ryan O'Rourke and Chris Flexen.
