Padres' Jon Edwards: Suffers setback on rehab assignment

Edwards (flexor strain) suffered a setback on his rehab assignment Monday, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Edwards was on pace for a return next week, but the Padres will shut him down after the pain flared up again. He will undergo an MRI before they determine his next step, but it will be surprising at this point if he's able to make it back to action before the All-Star break.
