Pedro Payano: Cut loose by Mets

Payano was released by the Mets on Saturday, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

Payano didn't spend any time on the Mets' big-league roster this season after signing a minor-league deal over the winter. His only major-league experience thus far came last season for the Rangers, when he posted a 5.73 ERA and a 17:15 K:BB over 22 innings.
