The Pirates released Borucki on Monday.

Borucki was designated for assignment by Pittsburgh on Friday, and rather than heading to Triple-A Indianapolis after clearing waivers, he'll search for an opportunity elsewhere. He posted a 5.28 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with a 27:12 K:BB across 30.2 innings with the Pirates this season.
