Milone (shoulder) passed through release waivers and became a free agent Thursday, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.
Milone landed on the injured list in early May due to left shoulder inflammation, but he began a rehab assignment June 27. Across eight appearances (four starts) at Triple-A Buffalo, he recorded a 2.63 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 13.2 innings. The Blue Jays don't have room for him on the active roster now that he's healthy, so he'll be free to seek out other opportunities.
