Birch (knee) wasn't available for Sunday's loss to the Cavaliers after he was placed in the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
Before the Raptors had their game this past Wednesday against the Bulls postponed due to a lack of available players, Birch had been listed as questionable with right knee inflammation before later being downgraded to out. While he looks to have just about recovered from the injury that has sidelined him for over a month, Birch's absence will likely be pushed back at least one or two more games after he entered the protocols Saturday. Don't expect him to be available until Toronto's Dec. 31 game against the Clippers at the soonest.
