Chris Godwin: Strong Combine performance
Godwin (6-foot-1, 209 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds at the Combine, adding a 36-inch vertical jump, 126-inch broad jump, and 4.0-second 20-yard shuttle.
Godwin put forth one of the best showings of any offensive players at the Combine, and now his prospect profile has excellent marks across the board. His production at Penn State was very good -- especially when you note that he caught passes from Christian Hackenberg for two of his three years with the Nittany Lions -- and his film was even better. Godwin quite simply knows how to play receiver, and after this Combine performance we also know that he has the athleticism to play it at a high level in the NFL. He also just turned 21, so there's reason to expect plenty of further development in his game. It's easy to argue for Godwin as a top-five wideout in this class. He seems like a probable top-50 pick.
