Coach Frank Reich said Jackson (ankle) should be ready to play Week 1 against the Falcons, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Jackson was injured in the Panthers' second preseason game and won't play in the exhibition finale, but it sounds like there isn't much concern about his availability for the season opener. Jackson is expected to open the year as the starting cornerback opposite Jaycee Horn.
