Douglas was not given an entry-level contract by the Stars, Sean Shapiro of The Athletic reports, and he will be eligible to be selected in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Douglas racked up 30 goals and 30 helpers in 62 contests for OHL Windsor this season but it wasn't enough to convince the Stars to bring him into the fold. After being selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, the center almost certainly will get taken by a team in the upcoming draft.
