Devils' Cal Foote: Granted indefinite leave

Foote is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the Devils, the team announced Wednesday.

Foote will leave the club for an unknown amount of time while attending to a personal matter. If the defenseman is expected to be away long term, he could be placed on non-roster injured reserve, which would give the Devils an extra spot on the 23-man roster.
