The United States Tennis Association announced Wednesday plans to add a retractable roof to Arthur Ashe stadium, the largest venue for the sport's U.S. Open.
The release states that the renovation could be complete by 2016. Further details -- perhaps including how the project will be funded -- are to be announced at a press conference Thursday.
The finals of the tournament have been pushed to Monday in each of the past five years due to weather delays.
