Masters: Phil Mickelson plays with Condoleezza Rice
Phil Mickelson and Condoleezza Rice played a round of golf together at Augusta National on Sunday.

Phil Mickelson got some early Masters work in this weekend, playing a practice round with former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at Augusta National on Sunday.
Mickelson talked to ESPN about the round:
"It was awesome. She's one of my favorite people. She's got the greatest personality and attitude, and she's so much fun to be around. She's so knowledgeable about world affairs. It's just incredible. It's a great experience."
Then on Rice's game:
"On the greens ... she's a phenomenal putter. As soon as I saw she was a member, I called her to work up a game, just like I did Arnold [Palmer] back in the day as an amateur. She's just one of my favorite people to be around."
Bob Harig also noted in the ESPN article that Mickelson walked off the first tee with his arm around Rice as they headed for their tee shots.
A real Mickelson move.
Mickelson told ESPN what he and Rice talked about during their round:
"She kept asking me about the course. And I kept asking her about countries. It was really fun. And she really can putt."
Wonder if they talked about taxes, too.
Finally, here's a look at Rice in her new green jacket:

Tiger Woods also played a practice round Sunday with putting coach Steve Stricker as a lot of golfers have arrived at the course early to get a head start on the week.
