Tiger Woods will return 'when swing gets grooved,' says agent
Tiger Woods is going to take some time to practice (or travel, apparently) but his return to golf doesn't hinge on having a healthy body because it's already healthy.
After Tiger Woods released the news that he was going to take a break and work on his game for a while before competing again, many wondered if this was the cover up for another injury.
Woods' agent Mark Steinberg told Golf Channel that's not the case.
"He started getting worked on immediately," Steinberg said. "It was apparent everything was intact and he was resting pretty comfortably.
"It’s not dependent on health right now. It’s having the time to focus on the game in an uninterrupted way. Doing it in the public spotlight, understandably so, it’s not the most conducive."
Wait, so why is Woods going to Colorado to hang with his girlfriend Lindsey Vonn? If he needs practice and Steinberg says it's about "having the time to focus on the game in an uninterrupted way," why is Woods purposefully interrupting that time?
That's a question worth asking the Woods camp right now, but the real answer (and one you may or may not get) is that the Big Cat has interests outside of golf right now.
Good interests like family and friends that he's admitted he hasn't always priortized. That might be bad for the sport but maybe it's good for Tiger.
So when will we see him again, Steinberg?
"When that swing gets grooved, he’ll be ready to go."
(We will see him at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.)
