Cameron Maybin receives injection in wrist

Padres outfielder Cameron Maybin, on the 15-day disabled list, received a cortisone injection in his right wrist on Monday. The 25-year-old will have to wait to see how his wrist responds and told MLB.com he does not know how much time he will miss.

"As of right now, I don't know," Maybin said. "I've been in this splint for three days, so I can't really say where I'm at. I've just been working out the lower body. We kind of don't know what we've got yet, and we'll just play it by ear."
