Cubs center fielder Dexter Fowler had his first multihit game in 17 appearances during a 7-4 win in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals. He went 2 for 4 with his 13th double, one run, one RBI and one walk.
Fowler, who also had his 12th stolen base Tuesday, has been mired in a prolonged hitting slump. Entering play Tuesday, he had a .167 average in his previous 22 games.
