Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli had another solid offensive performance Sunday at Detroit. He had two hits and two RBI in the 7-0 victory.
Cervelli, batting seventh, went 2 for 4 with an RBI double in the second inning and an RBI single in the eighth. He scored a run and elevated his batting average to .308 in 13 at-bats.
Cervelli has driven in five runs in five games this season with a double and a home run as the Yankees' primary catcher.
