Giants manager Bruce Bochy said he plans to keep outfielder Michael Morse in the No. 5 spot as protection for cleanup hitter Buster Posey, MLB.com reports.

"I really like watching him hit, especially [from] on deck," said Morse. "His approach is kind of similar to mine -- trying to stay up the middle [or hit] the other way [to right field]. Sometimes pitchers tend to pitch him the way they pitch me. So I've been having fun hitting behind Buster."

Morse leads the Giants with 17 RBI. He came in Saturday hitting .286/.338/.600 with four doubles and six home runs in 70 at-bats.
