Joaquin Benoit earns 12th save

Tigers closer Joaquin Benoit earned his 12th save in his team's 3-0 win over the White Sox Saturday, allowing one hit and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Benoit hasn't given up an earned run in 13 2/3 consecutive innings dating back to June 23 while lowering his ERA to 1.40. He owns a 1.02 WHIP and 53:13 K:BB ratio in 45 innings.
