Joe Mauer taking live batting practice

Twins catcher Joe Mauer will take live batting practice on the field Wednesday, MLB.com reports. On the disabled list with a concussion, Mauer is eligible to return whenever ready. 

Mauer, who has missed the last 15 games, still doesn't really have a timetable to return, though Friday has been mentioned. 

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire added no further details. "He's coming along," the skipper offered.
