Cubs infield prospect Kris Bryant hit his first home run as a professional Friday for Class A Boise, in his fourth game at the level. Bryant had been just 1 for 12 in his first three games.

“It felt great to get it out of the way, that first one, no matter what level, is the hardest,” Bryant said, according to MLB.com. “My parents were here, home debut — that was pretty fun.”

Bryant hit 31 home runs in his final collegiate season with the University of San Diego.
