Rangers pitcher Nick Tepesch had a rough start Wednesday against the Royals.
Tepesch allowed four runs, three earned, on six hits over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out one and did not issue any walks during the outing. Tepesch first got himself in the trouble in the fourth inning. After a leadoff single by Omar Infante, Tepesch gave up a two-run shot to Alex Gordon. He also had trouble in the seventh inning. Two doubles brought in the third run of the game. After Tepesch left the game, a run scored on an error. Tepesch was charged with the run, but it was unearned.
With the loss, Tepesch dropped to 4-9. He’ll take on the Angels in his next start.
