Kobe Bryant gave his support to LeBron James' high-volume shooting in the NBA Finals on Tuesday night after the Cavaliers' Game 3 victory.

James has taken 107 shots through three games. He is already tied for the 45th-most shots in Finals history since 1985 via Basketball Reference, and he's only three games in. He's averaging 35.6 shots per game, which is three more than Michael Jordan averaged per game in 1993 when he shot a record 199 times in six games. Allen Iverson shot 32.4 times per game in a five-games loss to the Lakers in 2001. James has already scored more points through three games than anyone in Finals history (123 points).

Bryant himself is third on the all-time list for his 163 field-goal attempts in 2010. Bryant scored the sixth-most points in Finals history since '85 with his 200 points in that series.

So he knows a little bit about those shootouts. James is still racking up assists and rebounds, though, and is doing something unprecedented. No one since Jordan has controlled the game in so many ways, with so little help, at this big a stage. Bryant recognizes greatness when he sees it.

And he sees it in the Cavs.
