No one remembers, but there was once a time when Stephen Curry struggled to finish at the rim for the Warriors. In 2013 he shot only 59 percent within three feet which is not good for a guy who mostly gets transition layups. Three years later, he's at a stunning 69 percent. It's not as impressive as his ability to shoot from outer orbit, but it still shows how much better he has gotten on shots other than 3-pointers.
One thing that he has adjusted, if you look back, is he started using scoop shots a lot more. Off-balance, under-hand, further-out, instead of basic layups. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm serious: Steph Curry got better at layups when he started making them more difficult. On Tuesday night vs. the Jazz, he gave a good example of how good he is at tough shots.

Crossover, low-dribble, slips between defenders, absorbs contact from Rudy Gobert, acrobat finish. Just the usual for the once-and-future MVP.
