We meant it when we tweeted about sitting around laughing at the Jets: me, my wife and my brother-in-law were flat-out cackling at a series of plays that put the Patriots up 35-0 on Thanksgiving night.

New England got the party started with a pair of touchdowns passes. Tom Brady hit Wes Welker for a three-yard pass six seconds into the second quarter. Shortly there after, Brady hit Shane Vereen in the flats for an 83-yard score.

But then things got REAL funny. On the next drive, Mark Sanchez did ... this:

The Pats picked up the ball and ran it to the end zone to make it 21-0. But things weren't done getting awkward.

On the ensuing kickoff, the Jets fumbled again, with Julian Edelman grabbing the ball in midair and taking it to the house. The laughter erupted for about 15 minutes in our house. During that time, Brady hit Edelman for another touchdown, making things awkward.

But, hey Fireman Ed, at least the Jets got a field goal to close out the half, right?
