Huber signed a three-year contract extension with the Bengals on Wednesday, Jim Owczarski of Cincinnati.com reports.
Huber has spent his entire nine-season career in Cincy and is now set to remain there through his age-35 season. The veteran averaged a respectable 46.6 yards per punt last season while downing 32 punts within the 20-yard line, his most since 2012.
Huber is fully healthy and ready to play in the Bengals' Week 1 matchup with the Jets.
Huber hasn't missed any time since fracturing his jaw during the 2013 season and, barring future injury, isn't set to miss time this year.
The Bengals have moved seven players -- defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi, guard Clint Boling, punter Kevin Huber, receiver Colin Lockett, cornerback Onterio McCalebb, guard Mike Pollak and cornerback Leon Hall to the active roster. They had all previously been on the PUP or NFI lists.
As the Bengals prepare to open training camp this week, they placed nine players on the Physically Unable to Perform list and another three on the Non-Football Injury list. All 12 players can come off both lists at any time.
Defensive tackle Geno Atkins (knee), cornerback Leon Hall (Achilles), guard Clint Boling (knee), linebacker Marquis Flowers (hamstring), punter Kevin Huber (neck), receiver Colin Lockett (hamstring), defensive tackle Zach Minter (back), defensive tackle Devon Still (back) and receiver Ryan Whalen (hamstring) all were placed on PUP.
In addition to receiver Marvin Jones (ankle), who might not be seriously hurt, the Bengals placed cornerback Onterio McCalebb (ankle) and quarterback AJ McCarron (shoulder) on their NFI list.
The Bengals signed free agent punter T.J. Conley on Wednesday.
Conley punted in 16 games for the Jets in 2011. He averaged 42.7 yards on 92 punts, and his 38.8-yard net average was the highest in Jets history. He had 32 inside-20 kicks with just six touchbacks, and his plus-26 differential on inside-20s to touchbacks ranked tied for third in the NFL.
Conley did not play in the 2012 or 2013 regular seasons. He was with the Jets in the 2012 preseason and with Cleveland in the 2013 preseason.
Conley will challenge incumbent Kevin Huber for the starting job, but most likely he won't make the final roster.
The Bengals announced Tuesday they signed former Bills punter Shawn Powell to replace punter Kevin Huber, who landed on injured reserve after suffering a fractured jaw Sunday against the Steelers.
Bengals punter Kevin Huber is expected to be placed on injured reserve after suffering a broken jaw Sunday against the Steelers, reports ESPN. Huber also suffered a cracked vertebrae in his neck when he was blindsided on a block by Steelers linebacker Terence Garvin late in the first quarter.
Probables dominate the Bengals injury report released Friday. Those who have received that desgination are linebacker Michael Boley (shoulder), safety Chris Crocker (hamstring), punter Kevin Huber (ankle), linebacker Rey Maualuga (knee) and defensive tackle Devon Still (elbow).
