Romano (finger) has resumed throwing off a mound, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
The 27-year-old has been sidelined since late August with numbness in his right middle finger, but he may be able to rejoin the club during the closing stretch. Romano will have a tough time returning in the regular season with only one week remaining, but it's possible he'll be ready in time for a potential playoff run.
