Braves' Stephen Vogt: DFA'd by Atlanta

Vogt (hip) was designated for assignment on Friday.

Vogt landed on the shelf with the injured hip Sept. 10 and has been removed from the 40-man roster heading into the playoffs. The 36-year-old appeared in 78 games between Arizona and Atlanta this season and hit .195/.283/.333 with seven homers, 25 RBI and 24 runs in 238 plate appearances.
