Drew Jackson: Let go by Athletics

Jackson was released by the Athletics on Friday, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.

Jackson had a brief stint with the major-league club in mid-April but has spent most of his season at Triple-A Las Vegas. He hit .243 with a homer, 19 runs, 14 RBI and eight stolen bases over 50 minor-league games to begin the year and will now seek out other opportunities.
