Mariners' Ariel Miranda: Fires complete game

Miranda pitched a complete game against the Rays on Sunday during a 7-1 victory, allowing one run on four hits, while striking out nine and walking one.

This was by far Miranda's best outing of the season -- and his only one that has lasted more than seven innings. His nine strikeouts were a career high, and he dropped his ERA to 3.74. While the left-hander has not normally pitched deep into ballgames, his performance Sunday should encourage fantasy owners about his ability to find a groove.
