Ziegler (1-4) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk to blow his fifth save of the season during Thursday's loss to Atlanta.
With Kyle Barraclough pitching extremely well -- 1.38 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 13.8 K/9 since returning from the disabled list Aug. 15 -- and a potential closer replacement for Ziegler, the 37-year-old veteran is treading in dangerous waters. Ziegler sports an underwhelming 5.04 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 5.0 K/9 for the campaign, and he's now blown consecutive save opportunities.
