Mets' Nick Burdi: Latches on with Mets

The Mets signed Burdi to a minor-league contract Nov. 21.

Burdi spun 5.1 scoreless innings with a 5:2 K:BB during his brief time with the Red Sox this season but spent most of the year at Triple-A Worcester, holding a 2.83 ERA and 45:16 K:BB across 35 frames. Slated to turn 33 in January, Burdi will likely begin the 2026 season as relief depth at Triple-A Syracuse.
