The Mets announced that Marte was removed in the top of the second inning of Sunday's game against the Marlins with a neck strain.
Marte reached with a one-out double in the first inning, but his head collided with Marlins third baseman Jean Segura when he stole third base. The outfielder should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener versus the Padres.
