Rivero allowed one run in 1.2 innings Saturday, giving up one hit while striking out two batters.
The hard-throwing lefty hit 101.6 mph and continues to dominate batters. He yielded only a solo homer to Paul Goldschmidt. The run was his first in 15 outings. Rivero is on pace to assume closer duties at some point in 2017. About the only thing which could hinder his future is the Bucs' usage of his abilities. The lefty has already appeared in a league-high 20 games, compiling a 22:4 K:BB and 0.87 ERA in 20.2 innings.
