Rays' Hector Perez: Pushed off 40-man roster

Perez was designated for assignment by the Rays on Thursday.

The move clears out a 40-man roster spot for Andrew Kittredge (elbow) as he returns Thursday from the 60-day injured list. Perez allowed a run on three hits and a walk while recording only one out in a relief appearance Wednesday versus the Giants.
