Reds' Colin Moran: Contract selected by Reds

Moran's contract was selected from Triple-A Louisville on Saturday.

Moran has spent the last two and a half months in the minors but will rejoin the Reds after Mike Moustakas (calf) was placed on the 10-day injured list. Moran hit .210 with four home runs, 22 RBI and eight runs over 37 major-league games earlier in the year, and he should have a chance to carve out playing time, primarily versus right-handed pitchers, in Moustakas' absence.
