Reds' Scooter Gennett: Late scratch Friday

Gennett (groin) was a late scratch from Friday's lineup against the Rockies, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Initially he was in the lineup after re-injuring his groin just before the All-Star break, but the Reds removed him from the lineup roughly an hour before first pitch. Derek Dietrich will start at second base and bat fifth.
