Royals' Ramon Torres: Sent to minors

Torres was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Friday, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports Radio reports.

This will be the 24-year-old's second tour of the highest minor league level. He's flashed speed and a productive batting average at times, and if the chaos the Royals are currently experiencing at second base continues, Torres may become a candidate for at least a little playing time at the major league level during 2017.
