  • Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT

Pirates' Ryan O'Hearn: Grand slam against Cubs

O'Hearn went 1-for-2 with a grand slam, two walks and two runs scored Sunday against the Cubs.

O'Hearn broke the game open with a grand slam in the third inning, his 17th home run of the season. He's now matched his career-best homer total -- previously set in 2025 -- but he's reached the mark in 169 fewer plate appearances in the current campaign. However, O'Hearn has slumped for much of July, and he's gone only 6-for-31 since the All-Star break.

  • Giants' Victor Bericoto: Resumes baseball activities

Giants manager Tony Vitello said Saturday that Bericoto (oblique) may be ready to return from the 10-day injured list "within a couple of weeks, could be sooner," MLB.com reports.

Bericoto will have to complete a minor-league rehab assignment prior to being activated, but he has a few more boxes to check in his recovery from a left oblique strain before the Giants send him to one of their affiliates. The 24-year-old outfielder has been cleared to begin baseball activities, with Vitello noting that Bericoto resumed playing catch and hitting off a tee within the past few days.

  • Jonah Cox CF | SF

Giants' Jonah Cox: Drawing closer to rehab assignment

Cox (oblique) was able to do some baserunning Sunday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Cox has been on the injured list since July 8 due to a left oblique strain, but his ability to run the bases suggests that a rehab assignment could soon be on the horizon. The rookie outfielder had produced a .269/.269/.500 batting line with one home run, four stolen bases, three RBI and five runs over 29 plate appearances with the Giants prior to landing on the shelf.

  • Cole Carrigg CF | COL

Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Goes yard in loss

Carrigg went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Brewers.

Jacob Misiorowski was perfect for 4.2 innings before Carrigg's solo shot. The long ball ended a 15-game homer drought for Carrigg, who still hit .280 with six doubles and six RBI in that span. The outfielder is batting .287 with an .879 OPS, five homers, 26 RBI, 30 runs scored, nine doubles, three triples and three stolen bases over his first 39 games in the majors. As expected, there hasn't been much power in Carrigg's bat, but he could still make some gains with speed, and he's maintained a good eye at the plate.

  • Jared Thomas OF | COL

Rockies' Jared Thomas: Returns from Double-A injured list

Double-A Hartford reinstated Thomas (wrist) from its 7-day injured list Wednesday and assigned him to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Thomas has yet to make his 2026 debut at Double-A following a lengthy recovering from offseason surgery to address a fractured hamate bone in his right wrist. The 23-year-old outfielder played in four rehab games in the ACL prior to the All-Star break and will stick around in Arizona to continue stockpiling at-bats. He'll likely report back to Hartford once he regains his timing at the plate.

  • Seiya Suzuki RF | CHC

Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Homers in loss Sunday

Suzuki went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 8-7 loss to the Pirates.

Suzuki entered the ninth inning 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, but he salvaged his day from a fantasy perspective with his 18th home run of the season with one out and one on. The slugging outfielder now has three long balls across his last six games, and he's up to 58 RBI this year in 89 contests overall. Suzuki is once again leading the charge for Chicago offensively.

  • Nathan Church CF | STL

Cardinals' Nathan Church: Exiting lineup versus lefty

Church is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

The left-handed hitter will hit the bench against southpaw Andrew Abbott. Church had been included in the St. Louis lineup each of the previous three contests, going 1-for-8 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.

  • Brewers' Garrett Mitchell: Idle versus lefty

MItchell is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

With southpaw Kyle Freeland on the mound for the Rockies in the series finale, Mitchell will be given the afternoon off. Luis Lara will receive the nod in center field in place of Mitchell, who slashed .271/.340/.375 with zero home runs, one steal, five RBI and seven runs while starting the last 13 games.

  • Jung Hoo Lee RF | SF

Giants' Jung Hoo Lee: Out Sunday with sore elbow

Lee is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels due to a sore elbow, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Lee was removed from Saturday's 9-2 win shortly after he was struck in the elbow by a pitch in the seventh inning. Though delos Santos notes that Lee was wearing a guard on his elbow that absorbed most of the impact, the outfielder is still dealing with some residual soreness and will be given the afternoon off. Grant McCray will fill in for Lee in right field.

  • Luis Robert CF | BAL

Mets' Luis Robert: Taking seat Sunday

Robert is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Since being activated from the 60-day injured list Monday, Robert has started four of six games while going 2-for-15 with a pair of solo home runs, two walks and an additional run. New York may continue to manage Robert's workload coming off his extended absence, but the 28-year-old should still be in line for a near-everyday role in the outfield now that he's healthy.
