Williams (neck) remained absent from Wednesday's practice session, Dante Lasting of the Bills' official site reports.
Williams is in the running for one of the final running back spots, but he's probably on the outside looking in at this stage unless the Bills keep five backs. Devin Singletary, Zack Moss and Matt Breida all should have spots secured, and Taiwan Jones is valued for his contributions on special teams. Williams' injury isn't helping his cause.
