Allison suffered a concussion in Thursday's preseason game, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Allison will have to be cleared of any concussion symptoms before he takes the field again, but he'll have extra time to rest and recover while serving a one-game suspension in Week 1. Allison figures to assume the role of the Packers' No. 4 receiver either in Week 2 or once he puts his head injury behind him.
