Avalanche's Stefan Matteau: Removed from camp

Matteau was waived by the Avalanche on Wednesday, Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now reports.

Matteau landed with Colorado as a free agent during the offseason after spending the previous two years in the Blue Jackets' organization. He averaged 10:49 of ice time over 18 games for Columbus last season, scoring once on 15 shots.
