Samsonov will guard the home goal Wednesday versus the Predators, Mike Vogel of the Capitals' official site reports.
Samsonov has made four appearances in December, allowed 12 goals on 112 shots. The Predators have nearly their full preferred lineup, excluding Roman Josi and Colton Sissons in the COVID-19 protocols, so this game could be a bit of a challenge for Samsonov.
