Scheifele scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 6-3 win against the Penguins.
Scheifele has now scored in all but one of Winnipeg's first five contests, and he's up to eight points (five goals, three assists). In addition, the right-shot center has four power-play points, 15 shots, four blocks and a plus-3 rating to open the 2024-25 campaign. Scheifele hasn't produced at a point-per-game pace or better since the 2021-22 season, but his hot start could help him return to that threshold in 2024-25.
