Predators' Vinnie Hinostroza: Going through waivers

Hinostroza was put on waivers Sunday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Hinostroza notched 16 goals and 35 points across 42 regular-season contests for AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2023-24. He also picked up one goal and two assists in 14 regular-season outings with Pittsburgh at the NHL level last campaign. If he isn't claimed off waivers, Hinostroza will be a call-up option for the Predators in 2024-25. He has 54 goals and 151 points in 374 career NHL appearances.
